Welcome to Kent, Cork Railway Station

In 2016, Kent Station was the 5th busiest railway hub in Ireland and the 1st in rank one outside of Dublin, so you can imagine that Kent Station is a vital part of Ireland train system. It serves trains to Dublin as well as to several stations in the County Kerry, such as Killarney and Farranfore.

If during your visit to the train station in Cork, the area will seem distinctly familiar, don't be surprised. The hub was used as a setting for the movie The First Great Train Robbery, starring such renowned actors as Sean Connery, Donald Sutherland, and Lesley-Anne Down!
  • It boasts 2 platforms and serves trains to Dublin and Limerick. To catch a train to Dublin, you need to go to Platform 1, while Platform 2 is reserved for trains departing to/arriving from the lovely city of Limerick. Keep in mind that the only way to reach Platform 2 is via Platform 1!
