Welcome to Limerick Junction Station

Although Limerick Junction Station might seem like not much at first, in fact, it's Ireland's one-of-a-kind station. Strictly Speaking, it's not Limerick's station, despite it sharing the name with the beautiful city. It's nestled about 3 km (1.9 mi) from the town of Tipperary, and about 20 km from Limerick.

What makes it so unique is that it's the only remaining rail junction in the country, where 2 train lines intersect at approximately the right angle! One line service trains running from Dublin to Cork and the other operates trains from Limerick to Waterford. Apart from that, at Limerick Junction, you can also catch trains to Waterford, Tralee, and Ennis stations.
